Right now, we do not have an estimated time when we expect the maintenance to be completed. These restrooms typically accommodate campers at sites 1-30. The restrooms on the east loop of the Ortona South Campground are closed due to maintenance issues. Laundry Facilities are not currently available on site. LaBelle is the nearest town and has stores, restaurants, etc. The Ortona North Day Use Area has a boat launch and is a 25 minute drive by way of the Town of LaBelle. Day use visitors are allowed on site for fishing. Your dog can also swim in the creek or in the 3 acre private, fishing lake. Dogs who are under voice control can be exercised off-leash in the twenty acre riverfront, wilderness conservation area. A happy dog makes for a happy camping experience. It's best to keep your dog in your line of sight, or with you, at all times. Will you be spending time hiking or will you spend the day shopping at the Rogers Sale? Does your dog bark if left alone? Some pets are happy contained alone for short periods of time in an RV, while others seek attention and disturb neighbors. Consider your plans and habits before you bring your pet. Be observant of the rules and courteous to fellow campers also travelling with pets. ![]() Some areas, such as the rustic tenting area, are pet restricted. Carry a bag with you and clean up after your pet. Keep your pet on a leash, unless in the off-leash area. Carry a copy of your pet's vaccination records as you travel.
